IPL season 1:- The first season of the IPL
tournament ran from 18 April
2008 to 1 June 2008. The final was played in DY Patil
Stadium, Nerul, Navi Mumbai .
The first winner of the IPL was
Rajasthan Royals, who beat
Chennai Super Kings. Rajasthan won by 3 wickets.
IPL season 2 :- The 2009 Indian Premier League
season, also known as IPL 2, was
the second season of the Indian
Premier League. The tournament
was held in South Africa because
of the General Elections in India. final was played bewteen Deccan Chargers and Royal
Challengers Bangalore. Deccan Chargers beat Royal
Challengers Bangalore. Deccan chargers won by 6 runs.
IPL season 3 :- The third season was played in
India and it was the first IPL
tournament that was broadcast
live on YouTube. The final was played between Chennai Super
Kings and Mumbai Indians. Chennai won by 22 runs in final.
IPL season 4 :- On 21 March 2010, it was
announced in Chennai that two
new teams from Pune and Kochi
will be added to the IPL for the
fourth season. The final was played between Chennai
Super Kings and Royal
Challengers
Bangalore. Chennai won by 58 runs in final match.
IPL season 5 :- The fifth season featured nine
teams after the termination of
the Kochi franchise. And it was played in 2012. The final was played between Chennai
Super Kings and
Kolkata Knight Riders. Kolkata won by 5 wickets in final.
IPL season 6 :- The IPL season 6 was played in 2013. The final was played between Mumbai
Indians and Chennai Super
Kings . Mumbai indians won by 23 runs for their first
title win.
